We have to respect Ronaldo’s “personal space”

Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes revealed that he does not know whether his fellow star Cristiano Ronaldo will remain in Manchester United or not, adding that his desire to deal with his family circumstances must be respected.

Ronaldo finished last season as Manchester United’s top scorer with 24 goals in all competitions, but he failed to attend the preparatory program for the English team in Thailand and Australia.

In an interview with “The Athletic”, Bruno revealed: We must respect everyone’s decisions at the beginning, I do not know what Ronaldo said to the club or the coach, and I do not know what is happening, but we must give him his own space.

Fernandez added: What everyone knows is that he has family problems, so we must respect his privacy and give him the space to deal with them. He was our top scorer last season. He added many goals to us, but it is not up to me, but to the club, which must make decisions, and also Ronaldo makes his decision, and as I said, I do not know what is going on in his head, but if he wants to leave, as the news says, but I did not ask him regarding it.

And the Manchester United midfielder confirmed that he asked his Portuguese colleague regarding his personal affairs: When Ronaldo did not attend the preparations, I asked him if everything was OK with his family, and he revealed to me only the matter that he deals with.
