From the beginning of the year to July 18, there were 2605 flu cases in Hanoi, with no deaths recorded.

Most of the patients showed mild symptoms and are being treated as outpatients, and 71 cases (mainly pregnant women, children, and patients with underlying diseases) were hospitalized, including one case of severe pneumonia and respiratory failure. Currently, regarding 20 patients are being monitored and treated at the hospital.

As a result, the number of flu cases was concentrated in the following order: under 5 years old (44.1%), 18-49 years old (39.7%), 6-18 years old (11.8%), and over 50 years old (4.4%).

The Hanoi Centers for Disease Control and Prevention predicts that the flu may continue to rise in the future.
