This July 19, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported a total of 112 cases due to the monkey pox in all the country. The institution indicated that infections have proliferated, so it is important to wash your hands correctly and avoid being in contact with people who have tested positive for the virus.
According to the entity, the largest number of cases continues to be reported in Metropolitan Lima, with a total of 101 infected. In the case of provinces, the region of La Libertad has been the one that has presented an increase with a total of three patients with the monkeypox.

What should I do if I suspect I have been infected with monkeypox?
- You can call line 116, option 3. Here you will receive attention by telephone and it will be defined if your case is positive or negative
- If the case is positive, and depending on the state of health, home isolation or attendance at a health center will be recommended.
- If the recommendation is to stay home, you will be monitored by telephone
- If negative, you will receive counseling for the management of the skin rash.
