A methamphetamine trafficking network was dismantled in Volusia Countyon the east coast of Florida, and its ringleader, a former prison system officer in this state, arrested, local media reported.
in the raid, agents seized regarding 1.4 pounds (regarding a kilo) of methamphetamine, 348 grams of cocaine and 11 pills of hydrocodone in an Ocala apartment.
In addition to registering the home of Christina Guess, 44, who had worked for 12 years for the Florida Department of Corrections and was the ringleader of the gang.
The FBI and the investigation office of the aforementioned county had begun to investigate the criminal plot in March 2021 and they discovered that Guess, who had served a previous sentence for drug trafficking in 2019, was the ringleader of the gang, picked up the WFTV9 channel.
Total, 10 people were arrested, including Reshard Campbell, 26, who supplied the drug to Christina Guess for sale.
“Today we have one less drug trafficking organization destroying lives in Volusia County and throughout Central Florida. Our job is never done,” said Sheriff Mike Chitwood.
Christina Guess and Campbell distributed the methamphetamine in Volusia and Lake counties monthly, with his organization trafficking up to 24 pounds (10.8 kilos) of uncut methamphetamine for a year.
