In addition, Ayana has existed as a brand ambassador for beauty products in Indonesia and a star in beverage product advertisements since 2018. As a hijab celebrity, she actively collaborates with the Indonesian hijab brand.

Ayana Moon firmly decided to move even though her move was met with opposition from her own family. After the migration, her parents did not want to think of Ayana as a child.

“I was born into an upper middle class family. They might pay for my life and whatever I wanted. But following I decided to convert to Islam and move to an Islamic country to study Islam, they decided to stop financial support for me. So I went through a very difficult period. It was difficult at that time, where I was short of money. At that time I was 19 years old and I converted to Islam when I was 16 years old,” Ayana said during a special interview with Wolipop.

He admitted that before becoming a convert, he was surrounded by elite people and had achievements. “I can get good achievements and my future looks bright. But in Korea, when I decided to convert to Islam, I might lose everything,” said Ayana.

Ayana revealed that her father’s family was quite influential in the world of politics, her grandfather was also a highly educated and knowledgeable person.

“Our family does have a lot of colleagues and acquaintances from abroad for their business. One of them from my uncle even did business in Indonesia. I remember they often talked regarding Muslim women and how they dress. I think it was the first time in my life that I had awareness regarding the concept of religion,” said Ayana.

“The more my grandfather and uncle told me, the more curious I became. I tried reading books, watching news or documentaries, browsing the internet to find out regarding Islamic culture. At that time news and articles regarding Islam and the Middle East were rarely written in Korean. I have to try to search in English even though my ability is still very minimal,” he wrote in the book Ayana Journey to Islam.

4. Ayana Moon Makes a Book

Ayana immortalized the story of her hijrah journey in a book entitled ‘Ayana’s Journey to Islam’ in 2020. She revealed the reason for writing the book.

“Because I like reading. And I know nowadays people prefer to watch than read. They prefer being in front of the camera than writing stories. Meanwhile, I still believe myself to write on paper with a pen,” he explained.

“Because I also used to have a hard life without financial support from my parents, so I understand why we should care regarding other people. So I decided to donate some of my book sales. By buying Ayana’s Journey to Islam book, automatically giving charity,” he said.

Recently Presence of Moon made netizens excited because his posts on Instagram feeds took pictures with his sister, Aydin. Ayana received criticism for taking off her hijab and wearing a hoodie and hat as a substitute. Ayana wears a hoodie and cream colored knit wear.

He also gave an explanation regarding his post which was highlighted because he was not wearing a hijab. Ayana admitted through her Instagram Story that she had received various comments from netizens regarding her appearance while in Korea. She tried to explain the situation she was in and chose to replace her hijab with a hat and hoodie.

“I’m trying to read the comments from all of you. Maybe later there will be an opportunity for me to tell regarding the situation in South Korea at this time. Btw, I still want to say that it is not appropriate to compare the situation of foreigners who are Muslim in Korea with local Muslims because it is The conditions we face are different,” Ayana wrote.

Ayana Moon tries to understand comments from netizens. He mightn’t explain what he was currently facing in Korea.
