Koust, management software for catering, is opening up to a new audience: EHPADs. This solution in
line allows EHPADs to improve and simplify the management of their collective restaurant.
Koust: the tool for better eating and less throwing away
Since January 1, 2022, EHPADs are subject to the EGalim Law which aims to encourage communities to buy 50% sustainable products, including 20% organic. Kost has therefore developed a feature allowing them to tag these products in order to have the real statistics of these purchases.
Kost also fight once morest food waste. Essential subject in EHPAD, because it represents nearly €15,000/year for an average-sized EHPAD. Thanks to an accurate calculation of the quantities in the technical data sheets and an evaluation of the stock differences with Kostinstitutions can adjust the quantities and reduce their losses.
Kost recently developed a feature to meet GEMRCN nutritional recommendations. GEMRCN’s mission is to improve the nutritional quality of meals served in communities. For it, Kost calculates and indicates the criteria and grammages according to the different ingredients and types of guests (children, adults, elderly people).
A new market to seize for the company
The quality of services in nursing homes has often been called into question lately. Our goal is to provide them with a simple tool that allows them to reduce food costs and then feed these savings back into product quality. The pleasure of eating for residents is a major issue in nursing homes and this is where we want to help them..
Jean-Luc LEGOFF, Founder of Koust
Kost already offers its services in the catering industry in order to make the dishes on offer more attractive, but also to save money for traders. The platform offers better product traceability with monitoring ranging from ordering with suppliers to inventory management. The service tries to simplify the regulatory procedures for restaurateurs.
