Previously, the Organizing Committee of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou in 2022 issued an announcement on May 6. The Executive Committee of the Olympic Council of Asia decided following consulting and researching with relevant parties that it was originally scheduled to be held from September 10 to 25 this year. The 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou in 2022 will be postponed, and the name and logo of the event will remain unchanged. Since winning the right to host the 19th Asian Games in 2022, with the guidance and help of the Olympic Council of Asia and the Chinese Olympic Committee, all parties in Zhejiang Province have actively overcome the impact of the epidemic and promoted the smooth development of the preparations for the Asian Games. At the end of May this year, the opening ceremony of the Hangzhou Asian Games e-sports venue, the Hangzhou E-sports Center, and the first public open day were held, and the Hangzhou E-sports Center was officially announced. Hangzhou E-Sports Center will host the Hangzhou Asian Games e-sports competitions.
