Worthy Elvis Tsalissan Okombi, president of the Union for a Popular Movement (UMP), is one of the big losers in the general elections which took place on 4th and 10th July last.

To his great amazement, the outgoing MP from the single constituency of Ngo was beaten in the first round by more than 900 votes. 6,864 Congolese citizens voted in the single constituency of Ngo in the Plateaux department, representing a turnout of 52.24 percent in the polls of July 4 and 10, 2022.
