For the first time since the beginning of the pandemic, the international aviation industry is meeting once more near London. The highlights of the Farnborough Airshow 2022 in pictures.
Already at the Dubai Airshow 2021 and the ILA Berlin 2022 the aviation industry came together once more following a long, Covid-related break. But the two really big shows, which take place alternately in Le Bourget near Paris and in Farnborough near London, had not existed since the pandemic began.
This week, from July 18th to 22nd, the fair in Farnborough will be running once more for the first time. A firework of orders is not expected and at least the first day of the fair lived up to this expectation with only two new orders: Delta Air Lines ordered from Boeing, Feel Air from Japan ordered from ATR.
Boeing 737 Max 8 and Gulfstream G800
The focus is all the more on the planes standing in the heat at Farnborough Airfield or flying over it for demonstrations. One of the first Airbus A350s from the Italian company ITA Airways is included in the static display.
In addition to the 777X, Boeing is also showing the 737 Max 10, for which the manufacturer is currently fighting for certification without the obligation to convert it. aeroTELEGRAPH also spotted the first Gulfstream G800, which recently completed the model’s maiden flight.
