Nintendo buys an animation studio and could multiply future adaptations of its licenses

Known for jealously keeping control over its licenses, Nintendo seems to be inspired by the many successful adaptations of major Marvel franchises. This is surely what explains the takeover by the Japanese team of the animation studio Dynamo Pictures, which should be renamed Nintendo Pictures by the end of the year. A company known for working with Ghibli and doing animation for franchises like Ghost in the Shell, Resident Evil or Persona.

The objective is clear: to bring to fruition its multiple intellectual properties, Zelda at Metroidobviously passing through the inevitable Mario Bros, who will also be entitled to a film very soon with Chris Pratt. A will swollen by the success of Detective Pikachureleased in 2019, and probably also by the recent fashion for big or small screen ports of video game hits like Uncharted, The Last of Us or Halo.
