The document says that among users in Asia and Europe, embedded SIM cards are gaining more and more popularity. Most people are ditching classic cards in favor of eSIMs. It is noted that for this reason Apple may abandon the slot as early as this year in the iPhone 14.
It is not known whether the iPhone will support two eSIMs at once or only one. Former European Union accepted a law requiring technology companies to make USB-C a standard port on all smartphones. Apple in future iPhones maybe either abandon Lightning in favor of USB-C, or deprive smartphones of any ports and leave only wireless MagSafe.
If all the leaks are to be believed, only the power and volume buttons, speakers, and the mute switch will remain on the new-generation iPhone. Perhaps such versions of the iPhone will be sold in a limited number of regions, and where users are accustomed to classic SIM-cards, smartphones with the usual slot will be available.
