Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Argentine player Paulo Dybala is close to joining the ranks of the Italian club Roma, in a free transfer deal, during the current summer transfer market.
And media outlets indicated that Roma is working to sign Dybala for a period of 3 years until 2025, as the player is considered a priority for team coach Jose Mourinho, this summer.
The journalist, Fabrizio Romano, an expert in the transfer market, said through his account on Twitter: “Paulo Dybala to Roma, the full agreement is valid for a 3-year contract, until 2025, as a free player.” He added: “Jose Mourinho was the main factor, he called Dybala to explain the project, All documents are in preparation for the completion of the transaction.
Paulo Dybala will become Roma’s fourth signing this summer, following midfielder Nemanja Matic, defender Zaki Celik and goalkeeper Mile Svilar.
Dybala’s contract with Juventus expired on June 30, and he spent 7 seasons with the team, joining him in 2015, coming from Palermo.
Dybala, 28, played 293 games with Juventus, during which he scored 115 goals and assisted 47 others.
Dybala won 12 titles with Juventus: the Italian League (5 times), the Italian Cup (4 times) and the Italian Super (3 times).
