His distinguished voice, calm features and genius made him a distinguished professor and star that is only suitable for good roles that steer clear of evil.

The artist Kamal Yassin embodied many quiet characters, even those who required otherwise, such as the role of the disgruntled officer once morest the royal covenant in the movie Redd My Heart with Shukri Sarhan and Maryam Fakhreddine.

Kamal Yassin was born on November 13, 1924 and died without fanfare on August 3, 1987. His origins go back to Mansoura, Dakahlia Governorate.

He started as a radio composer, then received theatrical drama at the Arts Center in Strasbourg, the French capital, Paris, and obtained a diploma in the Theater of Nations. He also worked there with the Center’s touring troupe, then returned to Egypt in 1961.

Kamal Yassin moved in several groups and turned into a theater director and held several positions, starting with the censor of artistic works, passing through the artistic and directing expert at the Theater and Music Foundation, and teaching acting at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, following which he was director of the Comedy Theater and Al-Hakim Theater and an expert for dramatic affairs in the Theater Authority.

Among his most prominent works as an actor, Sunset and Sunrise, Redd Albi, Al Mudaq Alley, while at the level of directing, he presented plays, Watch, Peace, and Halawa Zaman.

Among his memorable roles is his role in the movie A Date with Happiness with the stars Imad Hamdi, Faten Hamama and Amal Farid, in which he embodies the character of the fisherman who loves Faten Hamama in silence for his work that she loves another man.
