Guy Georges Mbacka, Minister in charge of Local Development, made public the results of the first round of the legislative elections of 4th and 10th July last. These results show the victory of several favorites while the battle for the second round promises to be tough for others.
2,877,080 voters were expected on Sunday July 10 to elect 151 deputies out of more than 1,300 legislative candidates. The Minister of Decentralization and Local Development, Guy Georges Mbacka presented Thursday, July 14, the official results of the legislative elections in each of the country’s electoral constituencies.
A publication that comes more than 72 hours following the closing of polling stations throughout the national territory and the counting.
We note the victory of the ruling party, the Pct and its allies with more than 100 seats thanks to the victories ofAnatole Collinet Makosso Jean François Kando, Pierre Mabiala, Jean Marc Thystère Tchicaya from the RDPS and Juste Desiré Moundelé from Club 2022 Pur.
On the opposition side, the Upads also distinguished itself during this electoral deadline thanks to the re-election of Pascal Tsaty Mabiala and Jérémie Lissouba among others.
Same story on the side of theUhh Yuki, with Juste Ntoumi, Nicolas Malonga and Matsima Gerald Kibembe.
Claudine Munari, leader of the Movement for Unity, Solidarity and Work (Must) is on a ballot with Jacqueline Lydia Mikolo of the Pct, in the single constituency of Mouyondzi, in the department of Bouenza.
Added to this is the fight for the second round of the Minister of Industrial Development, Nicéphore Thomas de Saint-Eudes in Kinkala in the Pool on the one hand; on the other hand, that of Ninon Ngoumba, outgoing MP for Ouenzé 4 in the fifth arrondissement of Brazzaville.
We also observe the election of new faces such as Vadim Osdet Mvouba, Youth Secretary of the Categorial Union of the Pct and Thierry Ghislain Maguessa Ebome.
Results that do not seem to surprise public opinion since these figures confirm the results « unofficial » published mainly via social networks for several hours.
