Polish star Robert Lewandowski expressed his great happiness to join the ranks of the Spanish football team Barcelona, upon his arrival at the team’s camp in Miami, Florida, USA.
Barcelona announced on its official website in the early hours of Monday morning the arrival of Lewandowski to the team’s camp in Miami.
Lewandowski spoke of a “new chapter” in his life, in his statements to the Catalan club’s media center.
Lewandowski, who Barcelona reached an agreement to sign from Bayern Munich, said: “I am very happy to be here. Joining Barcelona was a very easy decision for me.”
The Poland international added: “Barcelona is back. I think I can help bring the team back to the top of European football.”
He continued, “I hope we will achieve a strong start. I love winning titles, and this is a new chapter for me and brings new challenges… This is an opportunity for me, I have always wanted to play in the Spanish League, within the ranks of a big team.”
He added, “I have already spoken with Xavi (the coach of Barcelona) and I know his thoughts. He was a great player and he has a huge future as a coach.”
