In international business, the WAC is used to big names. After two direct qualifications, you have to “torment” your way through the qualification this year. The teams were divided into groups of five by UEFA for the draw. The Wolfsbergers are seeded due to their strong international performances and are in group four (see info on the left). Players will watch the draw at home. The team is free on Monday and Tuesday.
In addition to well-known names such as NK Osijek with ex-WAC coach Nenad Bjelica or Aris Thessaloniki with ex-Arsenal and Roma player Gervinho, there are also all kinds of exotic things in the pots. Depending on the outcome of the second qualifying round, WAC might also travel to Víkingur on the Faroe Islands or to Kazakhstan to the hard-to-pronounce club Kyzylzhar Petropavlovsk.
