Luxembourg entrepreneurs: Their award-winning intergenerational cohabitation project in Tallinn

With WeConnect, Ivo Silva and Clémentine Offner, two 20-year-old residents, want to connect students looking for accommodation with seniors who have room in their homes to accommodate them. They represented Luxembourg and defended their project in Tallinn (Estonia) at the JA Start-Up competition. If they did not win the title of JA Europe Start-Up of the Year, the Luxembourg duo won the FedEx Award which took into account several criteria: innovation, connection of new markets, sustainability, social aspect.

“It’s an honor to have won this award,” said Clémentine. It was an adventure, an extraordinary experience”. With the “really encouraging” feedback they received, the young entrepreneurs are determined to give life to this project, in parallel with their studies. “It’s really something that is close to our hearts. Being entrepreneurs is our dream. We know that it takes a lot of work, relentlessness, but we know that we can get there, ”she adds.

After a well-deserved vacation, the duo will get back to work in August. “We will start to organize ourselves, define the next steps, find people to develop ideas. We don’t want to wait too long,” concludes Clémentine.
