Today, Sunday, the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will visit France to discuss the most important Arab and regional files and prospects for cooperation and joint action in various aspects.
French President Emmanuel Macron will receive his Emirati counterpart at the Elysee Palace, where the two sides will discuss several files in the fields of future energy, climate change and advanced technology, in addition to strengthening cooperation in the sectors of education, culture and space, in light of the comprehensive strategic partnership that brings the two countries together.
Deepening the strategic partnership
The two sides will also discuss the issue of continuing to deepen the strategic partnership that unites the two countries, especially in the fields of security, defense, future technologies, investments, culture, education and space.
It will be regarding strengthening cooperation in addressing global challenges, in particular responding to the global energy crisis and accelerating climate transitions.
The two sides will also discuss the joint efforts of France and the UAE for regional stability and security.

Repercussions of the Ukrainian war
In addition, the two presidents will discuss the most important regional and international issues and developments of concern to the two countries, ways to enhance security and stability in the region, the repercussions of the Ukrainian war, the faltering nuclear negotiations with Iran and the issue of food security.
In turn, Patrick Dorrell, Political Adviser to the President for North Africa and the Middle East, considered that Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s choice of France to visit it is a strong symbolic gesture that confirms the strength and durability of the French-Emirati strategic partnership and the rapprochement of the two countries.
The Elysee Palace confirmed that Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s visit is the second UAE state visit to France following the visit of the late Sheikh Zayed in 1991, under the presidency of the late Francois Mitterrand.
It is noteworthy that the agenda of the visit begins on Monday morning, when Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed is scheduled to arrive at the Invalides Palace, and he will be received by French Defense Minister Sebastien Licornu.
