A motorcyclist without a license and in alcoholic fumes decided to fight off detention with a carpentry tool in the Nevsky district of St. Petersburg. The screwdriver did not help him.
As Fontanka was informed in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, the traffic police stopped the Suzuki LS650 at 8/1 Coastal Street shortly before half past three in the morning on July 17. Both the pilot and his brother, who was traveling as a passenger, did not give the impression of being sober. The driver refused to refute this with the results of a medical examination.
There was also nothing to answer the request to show the rights – they had already managed to deprive their 40-year-old unemployed and previously convicted man.
“During the execution of materials regarding an administrative offense, the biker ran up to the motorcycle, pulled out a screwdriver from his brother’s bag and attacked the policeman with it,” the St. Petersburg headquarters said.
A warning shot in the air did not stop him. The next bullet hit the motorcyclist in the leg.
“The wounded offender was given first aid and an ambulance was called for hospitalization,” the ministry said.
Probably, in the hospital, waving a screwdriver will catch up with a criminal case.
