A member of the Strong Republic bloc, Representative Elias Estefan, confirmed that he is still following up on the issue of arresting Major Michel Moutran since yesterday followingnoon, noting that “Matran is not left alone, and he will not break a stick, in a country where bullying once morest honest people and honorable people has become a normal thing.”
He was surprised “the way in which a pioneer with a long history of achievements in the field of traffic safety in Lebanon was dealt with, as if efficiency had become a punishable mistake, while corruption and failure to perform duties live in various positions and positions.”
Estefan stressed “the necessity of releasing Major Bishop today before tomorrow, pointing to the huge number of violations committed by some officers and people in charge without accountability or supervision just because we are in a country of favoritism and selective justice.”
And he considered that “this matter has become unacceptable, and we will not remain silent regarding it following today, and we will not allow the policy of silence and oppression in a country that sanctifies democracy and freedom.”
