Al-Ahly of Saudi Arabia determines the fate of Al-Soma

Saudi press reports said today, Sunday, that Al-Ahly Jeddah Club will determine this week the fate of three foreign players, namely Syrian striker Omar Al-Soma, Croatian midfielder Filip Bradaric and Senegalese winger Al-Hassan Ndao.

And the Saudi newspaper “Al-Riyadia” reported today that Cameroonian Frank Koum has become the only foreign player who has been confirmed so far, his continuation with Al-Ahly, who was relegated to the first division.

Al-Riyadiah quoted private sources as saying that Al-Ahly club settled on Koum, who joined him at the beginning of this year from Al Rayyan, and his contract extends for another season.

Al-Ahly decided to loan Izjan Alyoski, a North Macedonia player, and terminate the contracts of Brazilian striker Carlos Eduardo and his fellow defender Dancler Pereira.

Each team participating in the Saudi First Division has the right to include six foreign players in its ranks, compared to eight foreign players in the Mohammed bin Salman Professional League.

Al-Ahly recently decided to renew the contract of Uruguayan coach Robert Siboldi for one season, following he led the team in the last seven rounds of last season, but he did not succeed in saving him from the specter of relegation to the first division.
