Kanye West is being sued for $7 million.

The 45-year-old artist is being sued by Phantom Labs – which worked on several projects with Kanye from June 2021 to March 2022 – and the production company claims Kanye promised payment but never delivered it.

Phantom Labs worked with Kanye for four weeks on his Sunday Service, a listening event for his ‘Donda 2’ album, the Free Larry Hoover concert with Drake in Los Angeles, and preparation for his Coachella performance in 2022.

TMZ reports that by February 2022, Kanye had racked up $6 million in expenses with the company and Phantom Labs had to pay an additional $1.1 million bill following he canceled his two-week Coachella appearance. before the festival.

Company attorney Howard King said Kanye and his team initially started making payments, but soon stopped and the charges piled up.

The rapper originally planned to use the $9 million he was set to earn at Coachella to pay the company, but following he pulled out of the festival, that plan was scrapped.

The announcement comes following it was revealed that Kanye is also being sued by fashion archivist David Casavant for failing to return 13 of the 49 pieces of clothing he rented in March 2020.
