A man who tried to enter a restaurant in Dekalb to steal, he entered the pizza oven, but got stuck and screamed for help
Dekalb County Fire Department responded to an emergency call from people who heard the screams of a person inside the pizzeria screaming for help from inside an oven.
Once the fire department officers arrived at the restaurant, they had to use different tools to get the man out that he was stuck and that he complained of lack of air.
The Police Department told Newsweek that the man, whose identity was made anonymous thad to be taken to a hospital nearby to heal him from the injuries he sustained when he slipped through the oven.
The Fire Department published some images through its Facebook page of the assailant’s rescue procedure. Authorities said the man climbed in from the roof following the restaurant closed.
“An Army recruiter heard the cry for help of the man when he came to work at his office next door, ”said the publication.
Firefighters had to cut off the ventilation so he might have access to the assailant and pulling it out between two elements did this job. They calculate that he was stuck at least six hours, until rescue teams were called.
Staff Sgt. Brittany Davis told CBS 46 News that when she arrived at her office, “we went back to see if maybe there was someone on top of the roof”when they heard the man yell for help as she and a co-worker opened the office.
After entering he was able to hear more clearly to the man who told him he mightn’t breathe. That’s when Davis called emergency services.
Firefighters took regarding an hour to get the assailant out of the oven, as described by 11Alive. When they managed to unblock it complained of dehydration and friction burns in the arms when sliding.
The assailant is charged with attempted criminal robbery. and is in custody awaiting his sentence, which according to the law in Georgia this crime is classified as serious.
