To comply with the tradition that dates back to the year 1251, the drivers of all types of vehicles, mainly those of public service and cargo, they will pay homage to the Virgen del Carmen this Saturdaywho they consider their patron saint.
The drivers will make tours of the main roads of the Aburrá Valley and the department, at times that are established by each company or group of peoplewhich is why the authorities do not have specific schedules and places where the caravans will pass.
The deputy commander of the Medellin Mobility Secretariat, John Jairo Vélez, indicated that “due to the novelties that have been occurring in sectors of the city of Medellin, We request to be very attentive to the information channels of possible variations that occur in mobility.
One of the known routes is the one organized by Terminales Medellín, which will go from the South Terminal to the North Terminaltaking sectors such as Guayabal Avenue, Ferrocarril Avenue and the North Highway. This mobilization, which will be mainly buses, will end with the presentation of an artistic work.
It will also do several events during the day to commemorate this date, as the blessing of vehicles by the Carmelite fathers, which will be until 4:00 in the followingnoon, several Eucharists, including the one that will be held at noon in the los alamos station, in Carrera 53 with Calle 65, in the center of Medellín.

In Eastern Antioquia there will also be caravans in the municipalities, one of the most famous being the one in El Carmen de Viboral, where there will be vehicle tours along the roads of this town and at night there will be an event with fireworks . For the mobilization there will be closure, from 2:00 in the followingnoon, of the El Carmen-Rionegro road.
