A few weeks ago, a chapter of the CHV program “But with Respect” was broadcast, where the guest was the successful national musician and current jury of The Voice, Beto Cuevas.
In conversation with animator Julio César Rodríguez, the artist recounted a meeting he had years ago with Sol de México: “We were in a very famous Los Angeles studio and that day I had a meeting with Humberto Gatica (renowned Chilean music producer), because we were going to record something. And Luis Miguel was there and he was telling the time, in the background. He wasn’t doing anything. He wasn’t even in a studio.”
“Then I was kind of bored and I was at the door of the studio, leaning like this, and I was like playing (with the calculator), I wasn’t even like doing real calculations,” said the interpreter of “Here.”
“Sometimes people judge you simply by how you look”
“When I was going to leave, he is at the door, so I greet him, because I don’t say ‘hey, come,’ or anything like that. I greet him, ‘hello’. He looks at my shoes and I sweep up. He looks at my shoes and then he goes regarding his business and doesn’t answer me”.
“He continued with the calculator, he moved a little and I left. But it seemed a bit heavy to me. But hey, maybe he was having a bad day, you also have to consider that, that sometimes people are in trouble”.
“Or maybe he never liked me. You saw that sometimes people judge you simply for how you look and that happened. In addition, he was fighting with Gatica, because they had worked together, so perhaps he saw that I was with Gatica and put me in another category, “Cuevas said regarding the particular meeting with Luis Miguel.
