Jackson Demestre in the France team in September

After participating in the French Para-swimming Championship adapted to Castres last April (ER of April 28) and reaping a harvest of medals, the young Jackson Demestre, 14, has just broken his personal bests and improved his performance.

This happened on July 1 and 2 in Finland, at the adapted Para-swimming European Championships which took place in Helsinki.

Jackson is educated at the medico-educational institute of Thierville and welcomed at the Stenay childhood home. He improved his personal times in three of his swims, for the 100m butterfly, a time of 1 minute 26; for the 100 m freestyle, a time of 1 min 20 and for the 200 m freestyle a time of 2 min 51.

These are excellent results for a young person who shows himself to be very determined and competitive, a young person who, as indicated by Dorian Stumpf, the president and founder of the Pairsuadé association and the president of Adepape Meuse, “displaces of the mountains and is our greatest pride”.

A model of self-transcendence

And to add: “He is a model of self-transcendence, in life or in the water. His efforts made the colors of the Meuse department shine and made us proud. We are going to organize an event around him and the association for his great successes. He is a deserving young man whom we follow and support. By the way, we supported him with the purchase of a sports swimming suit. »

Jackson will officially join the adapted French para-swimming team next September.

what he says

“I am happy with my performance. I’m lucky to have people around me who support me. In September, I’m going to the French pole for adapted sport swimming. It’s at the CREPS in Vichy. I’ll go from time to time, but I’m not moving, I’m staying in Stenay and Thierville. I aim more, to be European champion, world champion; that would be good. »
