The N4 CTRL released by Zalman is a product worth paying attention to if you are looking for a PC case with powerful cooling performance while occupying a small space. Although this product is a cute mid-tower case, it has a number of special advantages, such as a large 140mm fan mounted on the front and 6 fans.
Zalman new assembled computer case opening machine
It is a box with an impressive cover picture.
You can check the product specifications on the side of the box. The main board supports standard ATX, M-ATX, and mini-ITX, and the water cooling cooler supports up to 240mm in the front.
The Zalman N4 CTRL, which has finally been revealed, is a middle tower case reminiscent of a building because the front and back are shorter than the height.
If you remove the tempered glass panel, you can see the accessory bag tied behind it. The contents of the accessory bag are instructions, 5 cable ties, and a sealing screw bag.
Equipped with six fans, fan speed and even LED ON/OFF function!
One of the biggest advantages of the Zalman N4 CTRL is that it comes with six basic fans, even in a low-cost case.
All six fans are equipped with RGB LEDs to show off a splendid visual.
In addition, this product can control the fan speed and turn the LED ON/OFF through the top button.
In fact, there are very few products that can control fan speed and LED among entry-level PC cases. The Zalman N4 CTRL is well worth the purchase for this fan control feature alone.
Front 140mm fan for excellent cooling performance
The Zalman N4 CTRL has a large 140mm front fan instead of the usual 120mm. In the case of other products with 140mm on the front, the number is reduced to two, but the Zalman N4 CTRL can give a high score in that it only has three 140mm fans.
If the front fan is large, the amount of air sucked into the PC case also increases. Objectively, the Zalman N4 CTRL is inevitably superior to other entry-level PC cases in internal cooling performance and air circulation performance.
The ease of assembling the computer case is also good!
Although the Zalman N4 CTRL is a small mid-tower case, the ease of assembly surpasses that of other larger PC cases. First, if you check the inside of the right panel, the cables for each fan are systematically attached one by one, so it is almost organized from the beginning. can be found
All you have to do is connect the power supply power cable to the bottom white connector!
The space for installing the power supply at the bottom is also coolly open. In other PC cases, the HDD guide takes up a lot of space, but in the Zalman N4 CTRL, the HDD guide takes up little space.
Thanks to this, organizing the power supply cables is very easy and pleasant. Just fill in the empty space one by one and you’re done!
The screw holes are also 100% coincident, so you can easily attach the screws by simply placing the power supply on the PC case.
Six hex nuts (standoff nuts) for mainboard support are installed as standard.
However, this hexagon nut is slightly different from the hexagon nut of other PC cases. If you just plug in the screw, it will be perfectly fixed, but if you put the motherboard on top and plug it in, it turns in vain.
Fortunately, this problem was solved by changing the screw to another one, but there was something peculiar. The problem was that each hex nut had a different screw causing the problem. For example, one hex nut rotates only in the A thread, and the other hex nut turns in vain only in the B thread, and so on. (Both A and B screws did not show any problems with the hexagon nuts of other PC cases.)
I’ve encountered countless PC cases so far, but this is the first time I’ve seen a hexagonal nut that shows such a strange phenomenon. Anyway, the solution is simple, so it’s not really an issue.
All basic hardware is assembled. The cable doesn’t look too complicated even if you don’t do any extra work. Of course, if you want the perfect look, you’ll need some extra cable ties.
PC case that maximizes ease of use
The Zalman N4 CTRL is also easy to use. There are three USB ports on the top I/O panel, so external expandability is sufficient. Especially, the fan control button is large in size and has a light click, so it is fun to operate it.
The drive guide at the bottom of the right panel is convenient because it can be fixed to the body without screws. Screws just help!
Here is a picture of the SSD installed in the drive guide. This guide can also be installed with a 3.5-inch HDD.
The front fan is 140mm, so it’s quiet. In addition, the unique design of the front mesh panel reminiscent of Earl Ashura exerts a unique tuning effect in itself.
Computer Case Recommended Zalman N4 CTRL
The Zalman N4 CTRL is the best choice for people with relatively limited space for a desktop. Despite its small size, I would highly recommend the Zalman Zalman N4 CTRL as a cost-effective case with excellent assembly and use, as well as a 140mm fan.
