Dr. Assem Ghallab, director of the 57357 Hospital branch in Tanta, said that the hospital’s financial crisis includes its main center in Cairo, which was unable to cover all its expenses this year, although the biggest crisis was in the Tanta branch, forcing the administration to decide to freeze work until the financial situation improved .
In statements to “Masrawy”, the director of the hospital pointed out the significant effects of the freezing on sick children receiving treatment in the hospital, including their having to wait in long waiting lists in the Cairo branch, while he appealed to everyone to intervene to solve this crisis.
Earlier, the hospital administration announced a crisis of weak donations that threatens the continuation of work in the hospital, which serves the people of the Delta governorates. While the Governor of Gharbia, Dr. Tariq Rahmi, announced a meeting to be hosted by the governorate’s general office next Saturday, to be attended by the parties concerned with the crisis to discuss possible solutions.
