At 22, Spencer Webb was still at the very beginning of his career. The college football player was considered a talent. Now his life was taken by a tragic accident.
According to local authorities, Webb died in a cliff diving accident at Triangle Lake near Eugene (USA) on Wednesday. He slipped on a rock formation and fell regarding 90 meters. He suffered such severe head injuries that attempts by first responders and paramedics to revive him were unsuccessful.
The grief for Webb is great. He played for the Oregon Ducks for four years, where he held the position of tight end. His club wrote on Twitter: “We are deeply saddened by the death of Spencer Webb. Our condolences to his family, teammates and friends at this difficult time. We will miss Spencer very much.”
