A radical change of atmosphere for the next Assassin’s Creed

The next part of the Ubisoft saga should take us to the Middle East.

For a few days, a rumor has been circulating on the Internet regarding the next Assassin’s Creed. This implied that the next Assassin’s Creed might take us to the world of the Aztecs, in Latin America. Journalist Jason Schreier, however, brushed aside this rumor by stating that the next installment of the franchise, which was initially supposed to be a DLC for Valhalla, would actually take us not to Latin America but to the Middle East, and more precisely in the city of Baghdad and its surroundings, probably in the middle of antiquity. A radical change of scenery that might do the franchise a lot of good, the last episodes having taken us, in turn, to Egypt, Greece and the United Kingdom.

According to Schreier, the hero of this new adventure will be baptized Basim.

This future Assassin’s Creed should be unveiled in a few months and potentially be released in 2023. It will be followed by another more ambitious part, called Infinity, which will offer to explore several different universes and no longer a single environment. Infinity has already been announced by Ubisoft. However, no details have been revealed for this project, which is intended to be a complete reboot of the franchise.
