Professional basketball 2022-2023 season kicks off with SK-Ginseng Corporation match on October 15th

The 2022-2023 season of professional basketball begins with the ‘return match’ of last season’s championship game.
KBL announced the regular match schedule for the 2022-2023 season on the 14th.
The regular season this season starts on October 15 and runs until March 29 next year.
The official opening match will be a match between Seoul SK and Anyang KGC Ginseng Corporation on October 15th.
The two teams faced each other in the championship game last season, and SK took the top spot with 4 wins and 1 loss.
On the same day, Suwon KT-Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Gyeonggi-do will be held, and Dayone Asset Management, which acquired Goyang Orion, will play its first match once morest Wonju DB.
The famous ‘Basketball Youngshin’, which has not been held since the 2019-2020 season due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), will be played at the Wonju General Gymnasium on December 31st as a match between Wonju DB and Jeonju KCC.
The All-Star Game is scheduled to be held on January 15 next year.
This season, the East Asian Super League (EASL), an Asian professional basketball club competition, was launched, and SK and Ginseng Corporation, the teams that advanced to last season’s championship, will represent KBL.
EASL will play home-and-away qualifiers from October to February next year, followed by the semi-finals on March 3rd and the finals on March 5th.
KBL did not allocate league matches on the days of EASL matches between SK and Ginseng Corporation, as well as the days of semi-finals and finals.
Meanwhile, the start time of this season’s regular matches will be announced at a later date.
