The American conglomerate Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ISIN: US4523081093, NYSE: ITW) will pay out a quarterly dividend of USD 1.22 this Thursday, which will remain constant compared to the previous quarter. Record day was June 30, 2022.

The group is thus paying out USD 4.88 to investors for the year. The company, which specializes in machine tool construction, has a dividend yield of 2.74 percent at the current share price of USD 178.30 (as of July 13, 2022). Illinois Tool Works is one of the Dividend Aristocrats. These are companies that have increased their dividends every year for at least 25 years. In August 2021, the dividend was increased by seven percent to the current amount.

The company was founded in 1912 as a manufacturer of metal cutting tools by Byron L. Smith. Today, the group employs around 45,000 people worldwide. The company’s headquarters are in Glenview near Chicago in the US state of Illinois. Operating revenue for the first quarter ended March 31 of fiscal 2022 was $3.94 billion (prior year: $3.54 billion), as reported May 3. Earnings were $662 million (previous year: $671 million).
