India-England ODI Series: Second Leg Today | India-England ODI series: 2nd match today

London: Rohit Sharma and his team are back on the field on Thursday with the agenda of holding the ODI series following the Twenty20 series. After thrashing England with ball and bat in the first match, India won the second match as well and are trying to dominate before the final match.

The visitors won by 10 wickets in the first innings at the Oval. The second battle is at Lord’s. It is suggested that Virat Kohli, who did not play in the first match due to injury, will be out of the second match as well. While trying to recover from his bad form, getting injured and playing the role of villain will backfire for Kohli.

Kohli’s lack of form, however, has not hurt the team. Instead, those who get the opportunity seem to take advantage of it successfully. If Kohli is not there, Shreyas Iyerkam will also fall in the draw like in the last game.

Shikhar Dhawan, who returned to the opener along with skipper Rohit, who was in a terrific form, will give confidence to India. The form of Suryakumar Yadav, who comes following Shreyas at number three, is also exciting for the team.

India’s strength is the form of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami in bowling. England will sweat if the two who spit fire at the Oval can also shine at Lord’s. With the support of Pyath Krishna and Yuzvendra Chahal, the bowling line-up will be better.

Despite returning ten in the first game, England batting cannot be written off. The batting line-up of Jonny Bairstow, Jason Roy, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Liam Livingston and Moeen Ali is very lethal. England’s weak point is bowling. The line-up of Reece Topley, David Willey, Craig Overton, Brayden Kars and Matthew Parkinson is average.

Team-India: Rohit Sharma (captain), Shikhar Dhawan, Ishan Kishan, Virat Kohli, Surya Kumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, Shardul Thakur, Prasad Krishna, Mohammad Siraj, Arshdeep Singh.

England: Jos Buttler (captain), Jason Roy, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Jonny Bairstow, Moeen Ali, Harry Brook, Bryden Carrs, Sam Curran, Liam Livingston, Craig Overton, Matthew Parkinson, Phil Salt, Reece Topley, David Willey.
