Measures for the new Corona Elementary School that spreads to children[07/13 20:01]

Infected with the new corona, which is rapidly increasing in Kagoshima prefecture. Especially as the number of infected children is increasing, elementary schools are taking various measures.

On the 12th, a record number of 1517 people were announced as infected with the new corona. Looking at the breakdown by age group, 46% of children are under teenagers, accounting for nearly half of the total number of infected people.

It is Jonan Elementary School in Kagoshima City. We are vigilant by taking various infection control measures.

On the 13th, in the 3rd grade class, children take the initiative in ventilating during breaks and thoroughly disinfecting hands and fingers. During lunch time, each child was conscious of preventing infection, such as continuing to eat silently without chatting as before.

“I thought it was really dangerous to have more than 1000 people.”

“I’m scared. I’m disinfecting and washing my hands.”

In addition to the new corona, the school is taking all possible measures, feeling the difficulty of taking measures once morest infection and heat stroke at the same time, as the temperature continues to be high every day.

“Although we are advancing activities with the mask removed in physical education classes, some children want to live without the mask removed. I find it difficult to be compatible with heat stroke countermeasures.”

To prevent heat stroke, we use air conditioners in classroom classes, but we always open the diagonal windows in the classroom to ventilate.

At Jonan Elementary School, we will continue to thoroughly implement basic infection control measures, and while observing the number of infected people in the prefecture in the future, we will decide how to respond to staggered school attendance and school days during the summer vacation.
