At the invitation of the Asian Taekwondo Federation, the two Lebanese referees, the head of the fighting referees committee in Lebanon, the vice president of the Asian referees, the international lecturer, Master Daniel Khorasangian, the head of the Pomseh Committee in Lebanon, and the member of the Pomseh Committee in Asia, the international referee, Master Elie Shero, participated in leading the matches of the Asian Championship for men and women ( Pomseh and Fighting) and the Korean International Open Championship, which were held in Chuncheon (South Korea), as part of the largest international taekwondo festival held following the Corona pandemic.
Khorasangian assisted the Asian referee in the theoretical and practical lectures before the tournament, as well as in managing the tournament and the judges during it.
As for Sharro, he was praised by the Chairman of the Asian Referees Committee, thanks to his distinguished refereeing performance, and he led several final matches following he proved his strong presence in the pomsiyah and the fight.
At the end of the long taekwondo festival, Sharro was chosen as the best referee at the South Korean Open.
In this context, the President of the Lebanese Taekwondo Federation, Dr. Habib Zarifa, called Khorasangian and Sherro and congratulated them for raising Lebanon’s name high in international forums, especially Shero, for winning the award for the best referee in the strongest and most difficult international open championship in the world.
