We can hate them or love them; However, it is true that WhatsApp voice notes are a tool that have made life easier for thousands of users in specific situations.
The messaging app owned by Meta seems to recognize the potential of this feature and now, it seems, it is thinking of bringing its famous voice notes to the states.
WhatsApp works on a new function for States
This addition would be added to a series of novelties that have reached the aforementioned section, with a view to improving the user experience.
The possible new option in WhatsApp states was discovered in beta version 2.22.16.3 by WaBetaInfofrom where they provide some details regarding how this new resource might work.
According to the information provided by the site, if this novelty is implemented, when users enter the “states” section within WhatsApp, they will find a microphone icon above the already known pencil and camera.
By clicking on it, it will be possible to record a voice note and send it directly to the status update on WhatsApp.
WhatsApp does not want to give ground
For now it is unknown if this audio content can be accompanied by a custom background, text, image or video. We also don’t know what voice memos will look like on user screens.
What is presumed is that these voice notes in the WhatsApp states will be encrypted from side to side and can only be played by the contacts that have previously been selected from the privacy settings.
For now this function is only in the testing phase, its arrival in the stable version is still a doubt.
However, the only thing that is clear is that WhatsApp does not want to leave room for rivals like Telegram to continue growing.
In recent months we have seen an expansion within reactions in the number of emojis that can be used, as well as improvements in terms of privacy.
