Gilbert Mokoki Minister of Health and Population, returned to the statistics relating to maternal mortality in Congo. It shows that maternal mortality remains high in our country, with 378 deaths per 100,000 live births.

The government, through the Minister of Health and Population, Gilbert Able, issued a statement on the occasion of World Population Day celebrated on July 11 each year. In his speech, the Minister suggested that the statistics concerning the maternal mortality rate remain worrying in Congo. « According to world bank report 2020, maternal mortality remains high in Congo with 378 deaths per 100,000 live births », did he declare. These statistics have sunk further since the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. Covid-19in 2020, added Gilbert Mokoki.
