Vettel abandoned the drivers’ briefing… due to Fernando Alonso’s complaints against Race Direction!

Sebastian Vettel had a very difficult weekend Austrian Grand Prix. He was last in the standings, Sprint had a touch with Alex Albon that made him finish last and in the race he had a touch once more, this time with Pierre Gaslyrelegating him to 17th place.

However, before all this happened to the pilot of Aston Martinalready had a controversy in the ‘briefing’ that is done with the pilots in each Big prize and it is that the German left this before it was over.

The Saturday following Sprint was called by the stewards for this action and was fined 25.000 euros.

Fernando Alonso, the ‘culprit’ that Vettel left

As the days have gone by, some more details have been known regarding said meeting of pilots and according to reports ‘AMuS’, Sebastian Vettel abandoned the ‘briefing’ of pilots due to the constant complaints of Fernando Alonso to race direction.

Race management was listening to the drivers but they did not receive any response, since they think they are imposing the sanctions correctly.

It was then that Fernando Alonso took the floor and recalled his sanction in the Canadian Grand Prixwhen on the last lap he moved on the straight so that he would not overtake Valtteri Bottas and thus retain the seventh position.

It was for this reason that the pilot of Alpine was penalized following the race with five seconds, falling to ninth position.

Then, the Spaniard for a long period of time in the ‘briefing’ tried to get the Race Directorate to admit that he was wrong by sanctioning Alonso and that they do not penalize other drivers who do the same, as happened with Charles Leclerc in Silverstone.

It was because of this that Sebastian Vettel he left the meeting as it was going too far and no progress was being made.
