The most famous alter egos of singers

Sometimes the stars are unrecognizable. Musicians like Madonna create alter egos to explore different aspects of your personality. We are not talking regarding simple artistic names like Bruno Mars or Lady Gaga, we are referring to authentic and profound personalities. The Beatles are a good example, as they reinvented themselves with their Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. They were fed up with the image of their group, they put on revolutionary clothes and transformed their personality. In other cases, the artists change radically for a commercial reason. In 2002, Christina Aguilera created ‘Xtina’ and featured her on her album ‘Stripped’. It was a complete success and fans and critics fell in love with the new facet of her.

As we can see, create a another self it is nothing new. Robert Louis Stevenson unveiled the ‘Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde’ concept. Many artists and musicians have adopted this idea, discovering a new face in their character. Beyoncé broke records with ‘I Am… Sasha Fierce’, a double album featuring Sasha Fierce, who taught the ‘Single Ladies’ how to act like a ‘Diva’. Around the same time, Miley Cyrus was conquering the world as Hannah Montana. Cyrus played a high school student, while Hannah was a teenage superstar.

On the other hand, Eminem also impressed the world as Slim Shady. The rapper wrote such amazing lyrics we can’t even quote them, but he got away with blaming his another self blond. He later brought that persona back to light on 2013’s ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’. The rapper had gone back to bleaching his hair and messing around live. Of course, his fans were delighted and he had also impressed the critics.
