The Senate of the Republic will know this Tuesday the project of law of Extinction of Domain, following postponed it last week.
In the work agenda of the plenary session of the Senate for this Tuesday appears, as the first point, the aforementioned piece of legislation.
Last week the president of the bicameral commission that is studying the Domain Extinction bill, Pedro Catrain, read the report, but preferred leave the vote for the next session.
Today the senators they have a work session starting at 2:00 in the followingnoon.
“Sabotage”
Hours before the work session, the president of the Dominican Republic Bar Association (CARD), Miguel Surún Hernández, criticized the bill.
According to Surun Hernandez, “dark sectors” intend to sabotage the project without the two thirds that the organic laws require so that, in this way, it is declared unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court.
Surún Hernández deplored that with this maneuver the country is deprived of recovering the people’s patrimony, stolen by corrupt politicians and businessmen who they have lived in a climate of impunity that has prevailed in recent years.
