‘Don’t catch the disease, there is no medicine’: Doctors in Sri Lanka have warned

Colombo: In Sri Lanka, doctors have given instructions to the citizens in the situation of agitation. The doctors have given instructions to be careful not to be affected by diseases and not to get into accidents. Doctors have taken such a step in the face of acute shortage of medicines.

Sri Lanka has no money to import fuel, food and medicine. In this situation, doctors are relying on social media for money. They are appealing to Sri Lankan citizens living abroad to help.

Many patients are suffering from not getting proper treatment in the hospital. This includes kidney patients and those requiring urgent surgery. Also, cancer hospitals are also facing great difficulty to provide uninterrupted treatment.
