The winegrower’s passport made a comeback on the 1st July, the 6 cellars of the Mailhacois winegrowers association organized this event for the second time, which was a great success with the population of Minervois who came in large numbers to taste wines and enjoy a meal thanks to plates from the Monge estate and to the musical atmosphere of the group Duo FM which was held at the Mailhac bar. The winegrower’s passport is an opportunity to stroll through the streets of Mailhac to discover Minervois wines, grape varieties grown in the plains or on the heights, on rich or stony soils, and above all a know-how and winemaking techniques. Each of the cellars has a different approach to wine despite a common terroir which has 5 000 years of history. Equipped with a black pouch containing a small glass and the famous passport, each participant was able to discover the following areas:
Landure Castlea family property since 1649, HVE certified, and which offered Landure rosé, Soleil des Mourel, Chant des Cigales and Parfum des garrigues.
La cave Pouzols-Mailhac which dominates a vast amphitheater of vines. The 110 winegrowers in the cellar raise their wines with passion, HVE certified. The cuvées: Florilège rosé, Fleur de Vigne, Sauvignon, Chapelle Saint-Jean de Caps and Saint Phar.
