Massive recall throughout France: do not consume this rice of this brand

The number of products subject to recall is increasing day by day. After butter, milk, or even turkey cutlets, it is the turn of rice to be the subject of a recall procedure. Reminder Conso informs consumers that packets of rice are subject to procedure reminder. On its Twitter account, the site states:

“Investigations carried out due to the detection of aflatoxins on certain batches in Europe, led to the withdrawal and recall of this product as a precaution. »

The recalled rice is of the Golden Sun brand. It has been marketed in some Lidl supermarkets and comes from batch 20364625. The use-by date is July 13, 2023. As Rappel Conso indicates, consuming large quantities of rice containing aflatoxin can lead to serious health problems.

Remembered vanilla ice cream

Like the rice packets, several batches of ice cream are subject to a massive recall. The reason ? The Ethylene Oxide (ETO) contained in the products is higher than normal. Note that only one flavor is at the origin of this recall: vanilla.

Here are the vanilla ice creams that should no longer be consumed:

  • Vanilla ice cream in 95 ml tubs from batch 3415580503518
  • Vanilla ice cream in 650 ml tubs from batch 3415581101010
  • Vanilla collection: cases of 4 jars of 95 ml from lot 3415581586718

The products mentioned above were marketed throughout France between November 2, 2021 and July 6, 2022. Their durability date minimal falls between July 6, 2022 and May 21, 2023.

Those who have these products in their possession should not consume them. It is recommended to throw them away, or bring them back to the store before September 6, 2022 in order to obtain a refund..

Mozzarella cheese recalled

Mozzarella is also being recalled. The reason ? They contain listeria monocytogenes. The reported products are:

  • Mozzarella packaged in 300 g sachets: they were on sale from June 9 to July 5 in several supermarkets Vival, Spar, Cora, Auchan, Carrefour, Carrefour Market, Intermarché, Super U, ITM Proxi, E. Leclerc, Prodilac and Monoprice. They come from lot L22152 to lot L22169 and have the item code GTIN code 8001230018416.
  • Cheese balls: marketed between June 9 and July 5, 2022, they come from batch L22152 to batch L22169 and have the GTIN item code 8001230018423.
