The story of the missing Nicole Morin: the girl who disappeared from her own home | e1.ru

In September 1988, the Toronto police unexpectedly received a confession from a certain 41-year-old American Lovi Lee Riddle, a man with no specific occupation, of having committed the murders of thirty people. Then Riddle said that it was he who kidnapped Nicole Morin and then handed her over to some person. The police checked Riddle’s testimony in detail, but did not find any evidence of his confessions regarding the fate of Morin.

There is also a version that the girl was killed. In October 2014, for two days, police combed the countryside near the place where Morin disappeared 29 years ago. Billie Jo Player, who was 11 years old when Nicole went missing, claimed to have heard a girl scream just two days following Nicole went missing.

“All we heard was that terrible, terrible scream. It was like the cry of a little girl whose life is in danger,” recalls Billy. She was then near her house with her mother and sister. Billy said that they ran to the house and called the neighbors, who also claimed that they themselves heard the screams. Her mother dialed the emergency number. The police, who arrived on a call, then searched the scene of the alleged crime, but found nothing. For the past few years, Billy has been tormented by nightmares related to the fate of Nicole, she once more declared to the police. In 2014, following repeated searches in the area, the police were once more unable to find any evidence.
