As the strike of subcontractor workers at Daewoo Shipbuilding is spreading from a labor-management conflict to a labor-management conflict, the problem is spreading to the political arena.
Representative Woo Won-sik of the Euljiro Committee of the Democratic Party of Korea (DPRK) today (12) visited the site of the occupation and siege of Daewoo Shipbuilding and met with strikers, and held a series of meetings with the subcontractor union and partner companies*Daewoo Shipbuilding’s executives.
As the Democratic lawmakers confirmed the positions of both sides, they said they would do their best in their mediation role.
