London: Long-distance runner Mo Farah says he is a victim of human trafficking. The actor reveals that he was brought to Britain as a child laborer from the African country of Djibouti at the age of 9.

Farah’s real name is Hussein Abdi Kahin. Farah’s job was housework and child care. When Farah was four, his father was killed in Somalia’s civil war. Later he lost his mother and two sisters. Farah says that she was brought to Britain by a woman who forged documents. They were never seen once more.

When my children ask me how I got to Britain, I have to answer. At that time I felt a great desire to see my parents. But it won’t work…that sadness was changed by sitting in the bathroom and crying. I tried to run away from all these problems. That’s how I became a runner, a world-famous sports star, says Mo Farah.

There are many people who are facing the same problem as mine. But Mo Farah also points out that what makes me different from all of them is that I can run. Farah won double gold for Great Britain at the 2012 London Olympics and the 2016 Rio Olympics.
