  • Java timer frequency is set to Maximum Performance.

  • The power saving mode of the wireless adapter settings is set to Maximum performance.

  • The hard disk never sleeps.

  • Hibernation is set to Never.

  • Processor CPU power management is set to 100%

  • The display turns off following 15 minutes.

  • When playing a video, the video playback quality is optimized to improve it (depends on PC/device hardware).

The Ultimate Performance Power Plan helps eliminate micro-latency on your PC by prioritizing performance over efficiency.

Enable Ultimate Performance Power Mode on your PC

Follow these steps to activate the Ultimate Performance Power Plan on Windows. As a reminder, this power plan will make applications and games faster but will also consume more energy and more autonomy.

So if you’re using this power plan on a laptop, you might want to make sure to keep it plugged in because this power plan will drain the battery faster.

The Ultimate Performance power plan will drain the battery much faster as it pools all available resources on your PC for the best possible performance.

Here is what you need to do to activate it on your PC:

1. In the Start or Search menu of Windows 11, copy-paste the following command and press “Run as administrator” to execute it:

2. Open Control Panel on your PC and in Control Panel navigate to System and Security > Power Options.

3. Here you should see a new “Ultimate Performance” power plan in the list of available options (you may need to open “Show additional plans” under “Preferred plans” by clicking the down arrow) . Click on Ultimate performance to enable and use power mode on your PC.

Disable and remove Ultimate Performance

If you’ve been using Ultimate Performance power mode and found that it doesn’t work well on your PC or is causing you other problems, you can turn it off just as quickly as you turned it on. Here’s what to do.

1. On your PC, open the Control Panel and navigate to System and Security > Power Options and select a different power plan to use. Note: Windows won’t let you remove Ultimate Performance power plan if it’s your PC’s current power plan.

2. Once you have chosen a different power mode, click Change plan settings next to “Ultimate Performance”.

3. Click Delete this plan then click OKAY to confirm that you want to remove Ultimate Performance power mode from your PC.
