‘SON-Kane’ warms up in Tottenham duo Sangam

Son Heung-min (30) from Chuncheon started training in earnest with his teammates from the English Premier League (EPL) Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur held training at the Seoul World Cup Stadium to play the team K-League (K-League 1 All-Star) on the morning of the 11th. It was the second training in Korea following arriving in Korea the day before and moving to the Goyang Sports Complex for training. In less than 24 hours following entering the country, he conducted two training sessions and quickly improved his physical condition while adjusting to the jet lag.

On the followingnoon of the 11th, an ‘open training’ event was held to reveal training to fans. Earlier in the morning, Tottenham’s global soccer development department held a training session with 40 youth players aged 10 to 12 at the Seongnam Football Center.

On this day, Spurs Web, which delivers the news of Tottenham, released a letter from Son Heung-min to his teammates. In the letter, Son Heung-min said, “Welcome to Korea. I missed you all. Coming to Korea means a lot.” He said, “I am happy to be with you at Tottenham, and I am proud of the achievements we achieved together. I hope we can make special things together this season as well.”

Spursweb also showed a photo of a white paper bag placed on a table in the dormitory that appears to be a gift.

Son Heung-min greeted colleagues who visited Korea at Incheon International Airport on the 10th holding a sign that read ‘WELCOME TO SEOUL’. Thousands of fans gathered at the airport to watch the Tottenham players. Tottenham manager Antonio Conte told the club: “It was amazing and amazing to see the fans at the airport. We have to repay our fans with great achievements.”

Tottenham will play Team K League at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on the 13th, and then on the 16th, they will play once morest Spain’s prestigious club Sevilla at the Suwon World Cup Stadium. Son Heung-min visited Korea with his Tottenham teammates in 2017, but this is the first time he has played in Korea in a Tottenham jersey.
