The new Quebec Country Festival will ultimately not see the light of day this year. The organizers canceled the event before it even officially saw the light of day. Unsatisfactory ticket sales, but also the pandemic and inflation, are singled out.
The announcement is published on the festival’s website.
Rest assured that we have tried everything in the last few months to present the festival as planned, we can read, but the lack of subsidies, combined with inflation […]forces us to make this decision.
People who had already purchased tickets will be contacted soon, we write.
Patrick Normand and Léa Jarry were to be part of the programming of the first Country Festival of Quebec July 30 and 31, 2022.
