As of 3 p.m. on Monday, 274 cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in Morocco, out of 2,164 tests carried out, bringing to 1,242,241 the number of people infected since the start of this pandemic. In addition, 24,862,273 people received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, 23,349,159 people received the second, 6,581,440 people received the third and 4,891 received the fourth dose.
Morocco recorded 1,736 new recoveries, bringing the total number to 1,206,753, with a remission rate of 97.1%.
On the other hand, 1 death was recorded between Sunday and Monday in Sefrou, bringing to 16,157 the number of people who have died from Covid-19 in Morocco since the start of the pandemic. The fatality rate is 1.3%.
Morocco now has 19,331 active cases under treatment. 148 patients remain in critical condition, with 2 new cases in the past 24 hours. One person is intubated and 41 are on non-invasive ventilation. The occupancy rate of Covid-19 resuscitation beds is at 2.8%.
As for the geographical distribution of infections in the past 24 hours, Rabat-Salé-Kénitra comes first with 100 cases: 91 in Rabat, 3 in Sidi Kacem, 3 in Sidi Slimane, 2 in Skhirat-Temara and 1 in Salé. Next comes Marrakech-Safi with 62 cases: 35 in Youssoufia, 17 in Marrakech, 4 in Essaouira, 3 in Rhamna and 3 in Chichaoua.
Souss-Massa follows with 34 cases: 30 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane and 4 in Tiznit. In addition, 19 infections have been confirmed in Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima: 11 in Tetouan, 7 in Tangier-Assilah and 1 in Al Hoceima.
The Oriental has identified, for its part, 19 cases: 10 in Oujda-Angad, 6 in Figuig and 3 in Nador. Casablanca-Settat confirmed, for its part, 16 new infections: 15 in Casablanca and 1 in El Jadida.
There are also 12 confirmed cases in Drâa-Tafilalet (6 in Errachidia, 5 in Tinghir and 1 in Ouarzazate), 8 infections in Beni Mellal (Beni Mellal-Khénifra), 3 cases in Fez-Meknes (2 in Fez and 1 in Sefrou) as well as a confirmed infection in Laayoune (Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra).
